Welcome to Chinese soul food. We are SOOOOOO.... lucky to have this restaurant within DC! The dumpling are country style but also generous in proportion. The value for price is one of the best in the city. (See photo) I contemplated the last dumpling for awhile.
I had the braised pork belly, absolutely delicious and it kept me satisfied for a long time. It came with five eggs which seemed a bit much for one person, but that only means the dish is perfect for sharing. So bring other people, the place was made for it. I will come again if I’m in the area.
I always get the same thing here, the shrimp rolls for an appetizer and pan fried dumplings, with some green tea. It's always good and the service is always quick regardless of how full the restaurant gets. I have rarely left the place when it didn't have someone seated at every table. It's a good price point. I come here a lot because it's worth coming to.
Had a visa appointment at the Chinese Embassy, so we decided to pop in for a quick lunch. What a find!
The service was excellent!! I ordered to go, they said 15 to 20 minutes but it was ready in like 8 minutes. The lady at the register was very warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The food was excellent!! I ordered the steamed pork dumplings, the combination lo mein, and the general two's chicken, and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was hot and fresh. Being as though I was being driven home on an hour long right I dove right into my food. When I got home my son, who is very picky, finished off the rest!!
food was good, i would say authentic for it being in the US. cute vibes overall! lunch specials are very well priced.
Favorite spot in Washington DC. My family loves it and we always always go here and order an enormous amount of dumplings.
I've never been in person but this is one of my favorite restaurants to order takeout from on Uber Eats and the food always gets delivered super fast. The pork and chive dumplings never disappoint. It does have a strong chive flavor though so if that's not your thing I'd go for a different option. The beef chow foon was also tasty if dumplings aren't your thing. No frills Chinese spot with pretty authentic food.
Dumplings were amazing. Fried rice was pretty good, but not nearly as good as the dumplings. Service was fast and good.
This food place is amazing. As an asian myself, who loves asian food, this is the best asian food restaurant ive ever been to and I wish they had one where I live (I am visiting.) This place is better than Din Tai Fung!
